"Maintain Organization"?[]

How do we decide how organization is maintained? Looking at the TOC of this page, I'd say while the stuff are well-written useful tips, I don't see anything organized about them... -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 09:14, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Well, the "Hints and Tips" page at one point looked more like conversations and chat logs than an article (in some cases, still looks like it even if the content is otherwise fine, with smileys and all). Also I'm trying to put in all this in specific Q&A format. For example look particularly at the "Black Bracelet" part. Requires lots of cleanup. Also some questions like "where to grind", I'm not sure if it'd fit in a FAQ, grinding is in general done everywhere, if you've played a quest once you'd automatically understand if it suits your grinding or not (especially when you can try all quests infinitely). I mostly just wanted to correct both the format and language to be more "Q & A article" like. Do you think that page should stay the way it is now? Interesting, although it does not explain why the page needs to be protected to maintain the "Q&A" format. Hints & Tips by its very nature can be expected to be different from a Q&A. Or rather, "hints & tips" can often be about things players wouldn't think of to ask about, thus having a different style. On the other hand, some sections currently in the FAQ page seems to be unnaturally forced into a question, just so you can provide information on the subject. I really do not think "Double charisma points with Lia" is actually a frequently asked question - people are more likely to discover it as a tip, or when researching skills.
But all of my personal opinions about the page aside, nothing above explains why the FAQ page needs to be protected from new editors. This is a wiki, if someone adds something to an FAQ page that isn't in a Q&A format or is not a frequently asked question, other editors can edit it, just like how most other pages don't need to be protected from new editors adding stuff in improper style/format. -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 00:53, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
In my experience once a proper format was established in other wikia pages, most of the time subsequent editors would follow that format and it wouldn't need a significant amount of cleanup, which has not always been the case after release of Rance Quest. My intention was that the "Hints and Tips" pages doesn't need organization, people can dump whatever they want to and however they want to while that content would slowly be copied into this page in "proper" format. Given the no. of enthusiast contributors (who contribute well but are not excellent at keeping it clean), I didn't want to clean and let the pile of text build up and clean again, instead that would serve as a "dump" while this would work as a more organized article and stay protected for that purpose until the the burst of new contributions calms down. Anyway, if you suggest 2 seperate pages "hints and tips" and "FAQ" should be there, I unlocked it already. You can move stuff back and forth between the 2 sections as you see fit.
