A Tactician is a class of Knight in the World of Eve, who specialize in tactics and in the ability to provide supernatural boosts to their allies (and to nullify the same boosts on their enemies). By their very nature, Tacticians must support additional knights in battle and are unlikely to operate solo. They may be armed with a long-distance weapon to minimize personal danger.
