Squidman is a type of monster. They resemble purple squids with a pair of human legs. They look like a regular human man wearing a costume of a squid but that is not the case, it's their natural body. For battle, they mostly rely on punching with their tentacle-hands, and they usually charge in numbers due to the lack of individual strength.

Regular squidman, the vast majority of them, are among the weakest of all monsters. They can be killed with ease by regular adventurers and are not very intelligent. However, they still represent a threat to most humans. In Rance VI six common slaves went into combat with 2 Squidmen; one man is gravely injured (and possibly dies) during the combat while the others run away saying that they would have been fine if they were fighting only one.

There are a few rare species of Squidman that are more powerful and respect, like the Great Squidman, the Mount Squid, or the Squidman Lord.

Squidmen are actually pretty tasty creatures, and their meat can be used to prepare exotic and unique meals, so they are sometimes hunted for this reason. There is no qualms in doing so because of their status as monsters.

All Squidmen universally love the Unique Rare Type of Gal Monster, the Kraken
