Mechanics[]

Gal monster Summon Rates[]

Only one gal monster can be summoned per battle.

Summoning a gal monster from the Item slot is not guaranteed. It is dependent on the gal monster class, and the owner's Familiar Knowledge level. The Feed Familiar and Pet Familiar skills each provide a bonus of 5%, leading to a 100% summon rate for Strong gal monsters.

Gal monsters gain experience at different rates depending on what class it is. Experience is gained randomly within the given range, and is applied before the battle starts. The skill Train Familiar provides an additional 2 experience on top of the listed values. Gal monsters can only gain up to 1000% exp if the user is under level 30, 3000% exp if the user is under level 50, and up to 5000% exp for all levels higher.

If no gal monster is summoned by a party member, there is a chance that a gal monster is summoned from the Vault. For each gal monster that has over the specified experience value, there is a 1/50 chance that it will be summoned.

Gal monster Battle Stats[]

Gal monster speed has a hidden limitation that it can only be as high as the fastest member of your party (at the time of the start of the battle). So if your fastest party member has 38 speed, a nekomatamata will only have 38 speed.

Gal monster Attack/Magic are multiplied by (100 + experience/10)% at the start of battle. This caps at a 600% power-up at 5000% exp.

Battle Booklets behave slightly differently with experience, offering one start-of-battle buff for every 500% exp, rounding down.

Gal monster Training[]

Due to gal monsters getting experience per battle, training them requires maximizing the number of battles they get put in. Currently, the best known quest to maximize the number of battles fought per minute is Quest #157: Satella's Request. It has minimal dialogue/events, and a lot of quick, simple battles. A maximized grinding team would consist of a well-specced guard with auto-guard (and no active skills available for use), Torako (or any other AoE slaughter character with enough skill uses to last the entire quest), and the civilian with the gal monster (and no active skills available for use). Just step on the red battle orbs and kill the Bugs in one hit and repeat.

BattleNotes

Can also be found at the last 2 areas (mountain top) of Quest #199: Rising Dragon Mountain Summit.

Tactician, gives ATK/DF/MAG/RSN up buff to one party member per turn. Number of buffs increase with her %.

One of the toughest gal monsters to capture since she usually appears with some annoying monsters [such as The Invincible Iron Bird which has very high defense unless you stun/assasinate it, or an elastic grape which only can be damaged by the Brawler class], and the number of turns are very limited. It is recommended that you bring some high level Brawler with Prolonged Battle yellow skills and a Ranger [suzume, crane] with Assasinate.

Captain Vanilla[]

キャプテンバニラ

Commonly found in Quest #126: Malgrid Dungeon 6th Stratum and #75: Crypt of the Queens.

To capture her in quest #75 you need make preparations:

0.) Don't even try if you can't survive on this map, if you already cleared this quest go ahead.

1.) Brawler with maxed skill Prolonged Battle (front row or back row, you can switch place with guard.)

2.) High level guard with Initial Guard skill and good armor (Captain Vanilla's damage is high)

3.) In back row you can put an archer with high damage.

4.) Tomato with her Capture skill in front row, and good weapon for her(Hit+)

5.) Rance in front row absolutely must have (for damage and quantity of moves)

First she can be encountered alone, and up to 3 monsters with her. Alone is easy, 1 more not hard, 2 more hard enough, and 3 more is very hard because she almost always in front row, some monsters just takes turns out from back row(it is bad). Just take out all other monsters first, then try to capture her. Good luck.

She deals a single physical attack with a base damage of 1,200 at maximum growth.

Magnum 2.082: Can attack an enemy in front row or in back row too.

Nekomatamata[]

Nekomatamata

Fairly common in Quest #146: Malgrid Dungeon 10th Stratum. Attacks physically multiple times.
