Elena Flower is a regular girl from a poor house in Helman. She's a submissive and pitiable young girl born in a poor family where she's forced to do most of the house-chores like cleaning, cooking and even working to make money, mostly living from selling flowers to the towns-folk.
Much like her social status implies, she wears very humble clothes but still comes off as a pretty young lady. While she's easily scared and very submissive, she's fairly optimistic and hard-working.

Kichikuou Rance[]

In Kichikuou Rance, Elena was a humble girl that was encountered after battles in the Helman phase when Rance was deployed. He would encounter Elena selling simple flowers and buy her every time. Unlike usually, Rance acted like a complete Casanova when around her, which made her fall for him and seeing him as a valiant knight.
She was later scared away after finding out that he was the King of Leazas, believing that she wasn't worthy and acted disrespectful all this time around him. Rance used Maris to investigate about Elena and found out that she was being used by her cruel step-mother to work tirelessly, and appeared the next day on her house with a white horse and take her away to his castle, much to Elena's astonishment. She began living in the Leazas castle since then.

Rance IX []
In Rance IX, Elena is an entirely different character. She was still born in an impoverished house from Helman, but she's the leader of a violent gang of bandits and mercenaries in the country.
Her mercenaries are employed by the Helman Army and eventually cross paths with Rance's group. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Elena was initially a gentle and kind-hearted individual (similar to her portrayal in Kichikuou). However, her personality drastically transformed after she held a cursed hammer, which made her more aggressive and assertive. The hammer also granted her a unique Mallet Lv2 skill level.
Nonetheless, the hammer's curse affects only virgin girls and creates a dangerous symbiosis between the wielder and the weapon. If Elena stops using the hammer and ceases killing, she will develop anemia and eventually face a fatal outcome. Rance, having learned this information, rapes Elena to break the curse after he has defeated her gang and does so with great pleasure. By doing so, she is able to safely regain her original self and break the cursed bond between herself and the hammer.
